Robert Maxwell Hypnotist: March 4^th

Fantastic fun turnout for Comedian, Magician and Hypnotist Robert Maxwell.
Entertainment, laughs and all round family fun night.
Huge thank you for those attending making the event a success, and an even bigger thank you to those on-stage star "volunteers" who prvided such wonderful entertainment.

Levee 2023: January 1^st

Thank you to all who came out to join us at the Levee. It was great to see so many people and to hear the Sarnia Pipe Band is always a special time! Wishing each and everyone of you a Happy New Year and a great year ahead.

Book Presentation: December 6^th
Mr. Dave Pattenden presented the Branch with a copy of "Piratical Doings on the St. Clair River" book. He explained the book, written by Dr. John C. Carter, and is the biggest single source collection of the raids by the United States against Canada in the 1837 Rebellion which took place in the Sombra area. Many Canadians were captured and put in jails in the U.S. and Australia, some for many years. The copy provided to the branch was in appreciation for the donation the branch made to help support the fundraising to produce the book.

Alzheimers Community Support: November 21^st

President Eric Hancock presents a cheque to Marie Marcy-Smids, fund development Manager at Alzheimer Society of Sarnia Lambton. The money donated will help to support the programs and services provided by the Society to people living with dementia and their care partners in Sarnia-Lambton.

Halloween Jam: October 29^th

Welcome to the 70’s!! Our Seventies Halloween Jam was a blast.

Skatepark Community Support: September 20^th

The Corunna Legion supports many initiatives. Here, branch president Eric Hancock presents a cheque for $2000, to Chantal Dale and Nikki Morningstar to support the new skatepark that was erected this past summer.

Toby Keith Tribute Concert: September 24^th
A sold out crowd attended our Canadian Tour Ending Toby Keith Tribute Concert for an evening of stomping country tunes.

Supporting band, joined by long time country music star & honoree Brian Moon, played two sets and a further two with 'Toby' before cheering concertgoers.
'Toby' also presented a band signed t-shirt for auction raising $200 in support of local veterans, much appreciated by all.

Branch 447 thanks all the attendees and volunteers for supporting our events.

Mike Watts Fundraiser: September 11^th

On Sunday, Sept 11, Branch 447 held a breakfast to support Mike Watts who was injured in a motorcycle accident in the USA. Mike is well known in St. Clair Township, and our community came out in full force to show their support for him. A total of $4615 was raised to support Mike in his journey back to good health.

We would like to thank Chris at Corunna No Frills for donating the food, and our volunteers who helped to cook, serve and clean up. Everyone’s support is greatly appreciated by the Branch and the Watts’ family.

Poker Run: September 3^rd

Riders didn't have to gamble on the weather as the annual Legion branch to branch motorcycle rally returned to Lambton this year with clear skies and glorious sunshine.

60 bikes and 159 riders participated beginning at the Corunna Legion riding to Wyoming, Alvinston, Thamesville and Wallaceburg Legions, returning to Corunna for comradeship and prizes.
